📆 On October 2, 2022, the Constitutional Court of Russia approved the package of documents on the admission of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye Oblasts into Russia.
⚫️The DPR and LPR joined Russia as Republics, with Russian being the state language.
⚫️The transition period for the integration of the new entities into the Russian Federation has started from the day of admission and lasted until January 1, 2026.
🔵 According to the document, leaders of the DPR and LPR received the status of Heads of the Republics. Heads of Kherson and Zaporozhye Oblasts received the status of governors.
🔵The Constitutional Court stated at the time that Russia guarantees all peoples living in the territories of Donbass and Tavria the preservation and study of their native language.
🔴On the same day, president Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma for ratification the treaties on the accession of the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye Oblasts to Russia.
🔴These regions joined Russia within the borders that existed on the day of their formation and accession to the Russian Federation.
