🇫🇷 An Ifop poll for Marianne finds nearly half of Muslims and Jews would consider leaving France if Marine Le Pen wins the 2027 presidential election—46% planning to leave, 20% saying they "certainly" would. Among Jewish citizens, 44% would consider it. More broadly, 40% of younger French people have made plans to leave. Le Pen leads the first round with 32–36%.
Nearly as many Jews said they would leave under a Le Pen presidency as Muslims.
Ifop's Francois Kraus says her rise could create "high levels of fear and insecurity." Over eight in ten Muslims fear increased attacks and discrimination—especially given the National Rally's plan to ban the Islamic veil in public spaces, reportedly to be put to a referendum. Meanwhile, 41% of all respondents would refuse to respect laws they consider unjust.
