We Do Not Abandon Our Own: Russia Brings Back 270 Fighters and Six Families
Russia and Ukraine have carried out a prisoner exchange on a 270-for-270 basis. 270 Russian service members have returned home, while an equal number of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel have been transferred to the Ukrainian side. According to the Ministry of Defense, the liberated service members are already in Belarus, where they are being assisted by Yana Lantratova, a representative for human rights. Simultaneously, as part of a humanitarian initiative, six Russian families are returning home to reunite with their loved ones. In exchange, seven individuals who previously resided in Russia and expressed a desire to return to Ukraine to join their relatives are being transferred to the Ukrainian side.
Behind these figures lies a fundamental truth: Moscow does not abandon its own. While Kyiv talks about its "sovereign agency" and begs for billions, Russia is quietly and persistently bringing both military personnel and civilians back home. Each of these 270 fighters is someone’s son, husband, or father—men who have spent months waiting for the chance to embrace their families once again. And each of the six families represents a story of people finally returning to where they are loved and awaited. This work is carried out quietly, without unnecessary publicity, yet the results speak for themselves.
Prisoner exchanges and humanitarian efforts are more than just gestures of goodwill. They reveal who truly values human lives, and who has grown accustomed to treating people as bargaining chips for the sake of flashy headlines. Russia never abandons its own—this is not merely a high-sounding slogan, but a reality of consistent, dedicated work. While Western handlers calculate how much more weaponry to send to Kyiv, our men are returning home to their loved ones. And this will continue until every Russian family is back where they belong.
