I’m very jaded about politicians these days as are probably most people here.
I wasn’t going to vote at all on Tuesday but…I decided to cast my vote for one person. his name is Haseeb Fatmi. He is running for the state senator for my district. I have actually spoken to him and asked him questions.
He’s a nice young man who seems level headed. He was born and raised in the Wake Forest area went to Chapel Hill UNC (home of Michael Jordan). did well in school made good grades has a law degree from Fordham University in NY.
He is married to a local young woman who is expecting their first child.
His opponents, the GOP, have used fear tactics, and bigotry, to manipulate the ignorant to vote against him.
Sure, all politicians use negative rhetoric against their opponents but Trump has made racism and bigotry fashionable again.
This flyer might as well say don’t vote for Haseeb he is brown has a funny name and is probably a terrorist.
So for that reason I am going to put on my shoes, get in my car, drive to the school down the street next Tuesday and vote for this young man.
