The US fleet in the Caribbean is extremely vulnerable to modern Russian, Iranian and Chinese missiles. This factor seems to be ignored by the media and "experts".

In the 1940's they thought that aircraft could not drop torpedoes in shallow waters. That was despite reports in the late 1930's that the Japanese were practising doing so in Tokyo Bay.

I have no idea why the Chinese are building aircraft carriers. They should know better. The Russians seem to have woken up. But the Russians are still making advanced tanks when they are no longer used as such.
