Trump got his Big Beautiful Bill passed but I don't see any new coherence so far in his foreign policy.

Meanwhile the Russians are now pounding Ukraine every night to an extent that we have never seen before and which the West has no answer to and the Iranians are refusing to negotiate unless they get guarantees Trump cannot give. To be clear, a global 'retreat' is EXACTLY what the US in its own best interests needs at this time IMHO but I doubt that there are many people in policy circles in Washington who would agree with me (amongst the wider American public it is of course an entirely different matter)....
