My fellow Duranians

As you all most likely noticed, Locals, not only or exclusively The Duran, experienced a major crash yesterday and was offline for several hours.
I have no explanation but it was during my livestream last night which is not being able to load.
As I took over Alexander’s time slot, because of his trip to Germany, I was going to report on the recent situations happening.
My intention will be to try and reengage tomorrow if possible as I will be meeting Alexander this evening for a very short time.
By the time I get back to Switzerland it will be very late and even though I would like to, I’m not sure I’ll be fit enough to stream after that.

Dnipro, 18 August, morning

Big changes here in Dnipro. Businesses closing down faster than I have ever seen. Protests now in most major cities, being reported as pro federov but this isn't true, they are people and businesses protesting about economic conditions, lack of labour, an inability to get products imported without paying huge bribes and many companies just closing as they can see the writing on the wall as winter approaches. People are scrambling now, food stocks and other supermarket goods are starting to run low in some stores, and constant attacks against Nova Poshta are devastating e-commerce.

For the first time today I saw humanitarian trucks giving out food and clothing in Dnipro. They won't start distributing till 10, but already a crowd of people. Unthinkable even 6 months ago.

Fuel strikes are causing supply issues outside the main city areas, and people are planning to leave. I know of one group of 40 or so men who crossed the Tysa River into Romania last week, am told more ...
