"MUTUAL RESPECT"?? 🤣. Surly Xi knows, China is on the US' list for the next proxy war using Taiwan.
Xi has stated in the past that they do not want to see the US economy collapse "too soon" and have withheld selling off all the US bonds. I get the feeling, Xi understands and unbeknownst to the US electorate, the US economy is on the verge of total collapse. Something the US media is hiding from its own citizens and have been downplaying the severity of it.
On another note, Xi as well as Putin know, they are dealing with a psychopathic regime that surrendered her sovereignty to israel many years ago.
